Private by architecture, not by a marketing toggle.

CraftedBills is designed so that the local app remains the center of work. Integrations extend it, but they do not become the owner of your everyday accounting evidence.

What stays local

Payments, documents, matching decisions, activity, month state and backup data live in the local workspace.

What uses the network

KSeF sync and deliberate Fakturownia publishing use an external connection. Future email retrieval and team sync would also require a connection only when enabled.

How originals are treated

CraftedBills preserves original PDF bytes, KSeF XML and source payment records. Normalized fields are stored separately.

How credentials are stored

Tokens, certificates and keys stay outside the ordinary database in the system credential store.

Where AI fits

AI may suggest, explain or help search later. Core matching remains deterministic and a person keeps the last word.

Backups and portability

The current MVP exports a portable backup, validates restores and preserves the previous workspace as a safety copy.

Your documents stay on your devices by default.

CraftedBills stores the working state in a local, versioned SQLite database. Imports, OCR, matching, review, reports and backups work locally; only explicit integrations such as KSeF need a network connection.
